The Chlorine Institute Emergency Kit “A” is manufactured to the design specifications of the Chlorine Institute. The Emergency Kit “A” contains devices to stop leaks at the valve, fusible plug, and in the side walls of chlorine 100 & 150 lb cylinders, which conform to specification DOT 3A480. The cylinders have outside diameters between 8¼ and 10¾ inches and overall height from 39½ to 59 inches. The kit is designed for use with all configurations of standard chlorine cylinders. It is important to note, this kit should not be applied to a cylinder that is liquid full.
