Ultra-Pellet Drain®

Ultra-Pellet Drain®

Large drain can be added to containment berms to provide quick draining of water while still containing plastic pellets

When you need to contain plastic pellets (“nurdles”) while also allowing liquids to drain, the Ultra-Pellet Drain integrated into one of our flexible containment berms is the perfect solution. This 6″ diameter drain is constructed with a 17×8 weave designed to trap plastic pellets used in the manufacturing of plastic goods and stop them from entering our environment.

Note that the Ultra-Pellet Drain must be ordered at the same time the flexible berm is being ordered, as it is integrated into the berm. Also, note that containment berms that incorporate the use of the Ultra-Pellet Drain will not contain liquids of any kind!

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Since the drain itself is flexible, along with the berm it is installed into, there is no drain plug available. Containment berms that incorporate the use of the Ultra-Pellet Drain will not contain liquids of any kind!

Any berm with the Ultra-Pellet Drain installed will not contain liquid. Depending on the model and your situation, you could place the berm with the pellet drain on top of another containment device to capture the liquid flowing through the pellet drain.

An example of this would be a Mini Foam Wall model Ultra-Containment Berm with the Ultra-Pellet Drain installed, which will contain plastic pellets but not liquids, placed on top of a Flexible Model Ultra-Spill Pallet designed to contain liquids but not plastic pellets.

The 17×8 weave construction in this mesh fabric means that there are 17 threads per inch running in one direction (warp), and 8 threads per inch running in the perpendicular direction (fill). In other words, the fabric is made up of a grid-like pattern of interlaced threads, with 17 threads in one direction and 8 threads in the other.
