Septic Tank 5B

Chemtech’s Histosol and Microbe products are the industry-leading odor control, bioaugmentation, solids degradation, and corrosion prevention solutions. For over 20 years, we are the trusted and preferred supplier for a wide range of industries worldwide, including food processing, wastewater treatment, paper and pulp, refinery, and agriculture.

Safe, Natural Product

Histosol is a safe, natural product derived from organic matter consisting of natural soil constituents, including humate salts, humic acids, lignin matter and extractions of highly humified organic matters – powerful components that capture odorous compounds and interrupt their corrosive reactions, and enhance biological activities for solids degradation, reducing Total suspended solids (TSS) and Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) levels. A township in Pennsylvania was able to keep their water safe by using Microbe Life

Effective, Environmentally Friendly, & Economical Solution

In industrial and municipal wastewater and sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, septic tanks, and grease traps, Histosol is an effective, environmentally friendly, and economical solution used for the digestion of fats, oils, and grease, as well as the control and reduction of a wide range of odorous compounds, including hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans and ammonia, and their resulting corrosive effects.

What's in our product?

Chemtech’s Microbial products contain powerful bacteria and enzymes that act as organic catalysts to accelerate degradation of many organic polymers, including fats, proteins, plant carbohydrates, and certain types of solid materials.

Improves Efficiency

Microbe formulations effectively reduce treatment surcharges as well as frequency and severity of plant upsets, and remove specific waste compounds at higher rates. This ultimately improves the efficiency of treatment systems to produce higher quality effluents, helping to minimize operational costs and ensuring compliance with municipal and state regulations.

Safe for Personnel to handle

Chemtech’s Microbial products contain high numbers of naturally occurring bacteria that are effective for a wide range of degradation and treatment applications, and are safe for your facilities and personnel to handle.

Septic System 5B

A ready-to-use, stabilized, bacterial spore concentrate, designed to biologically digest and deodorize organic wastes.

Advantages

Chemtech’s biologically active formula includes an odor neutralizing fragrance, biodegradable surfactant and a proprietary stabilization system that will break down organic waste naturally and effectively. This product is fully formulated, simply place in a toilet tank and the bacteria are released with every flush – it’s that easy!

Scientifically selected bacterial cultures are selected for optimum enzyme production, assuring efficient breakdown of proteins, carbohydrates, cellulose and fats in organic wastes generated in a household or commercial septic tank system. Chemtech’s non-engineered cultures rapidly digest odor causing organic wastes. Odors aren’t just covered up; they are eliminated at the source! Bacteria are stabilized and shipped in spore form, ensuring long-term stability and extended shelf life.

Dosage Rate

Depending upon the size of a septic tank and frequency of flushes each day in a household, following are the guideline dosage rates:

  • 500 – 1,000 gallon tank: 1 puck every 3 weeks
  • 1000 – 2,000 gallon tank: 2 pucks every 3 weeks

Recommend placing directly into tank behind toilet bowl.

For one septic tank system in commercial buildings, hotels, restaurants, golf courses, health clubs, etc. use 2 pucks every 2 weeks.
