POND CLEAR
Chemtech’s Histosol and Microbe products are the industry-leading odor control, bioaugmentation, solids degradation, and corrosion prevention solutions. For over 20 years, we are the trusted and preferred supplier for a wide range of industries worldwide, including food processing, wastewater treatment, paper and pulp, refinery, and agriculture.
Safe, Natural Product
Histosol is a safe, natural product derived from organic matter consisting of natural soil constituents, including humate salts, humic acids, lignin matter and extractions of highly humified organic matters – powerful components that capture odorous compounds and interrupt their corrosive reactions, and enhance biological activities for solids degradation, reducing Total suspended solids (TSS) and Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) levels. Advantages
Chemtech’s biologically active formula contains a proprietary blend of bacterial strains that were selected for the ability to breakdown excess waste material in ponds and reduce the amount of available phosphorous causing a reduction in the algal population.
Chemtech’s naturally occurring cultures efficiently digest pond bottom materials and reduce the organic matter in the water column leading to cleaner water and higher oxygen levels. The bacteria are stabilized and shipped in spore form, ensuring long term stability and extended shelf-life.
Multilevel quality assurance processes extend far beyond our doors. Purity and microbial concentration is guaranteed for consistent and superior biological products in the hands of your customers.
Field Test
As demonstrated in the graph above, the application of Pond Clear Powder resulted in a significant reduction in Chlorophyll A, a measure of algal concentration, Phosphorous, and turbidity. These results were not generated in a laboratory, they were obtained under actual field conditions.

Settling Solids in Clarifiers – The Causes, Possible Risks, and Solutions
Clarifiers are a big part of the wastewater treatment system. These pieces of infrastructure need to operate effectively and efficiently, providing consistently reliable results following treatment. But in order for this to be the case, facility managers and teams must stay aware of settled solids.
The Wastewater Journey – Overcoming Force Main and Sewer Line Blockages
Sewage line blockages can be a real problem and will need to be sorted out quickly. What types of wastewater treatment can you use to overcome these blockages, and how can microbes be used in sewage treatment to prevent issues within the system? Let’s take a look in more detail.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Issues – Reducing BOD and Ammonia Levels
It’s one of the key wastewater facts that facility managers need to be aware of: the chemical composition of wastewater can cause serious problems, which need to be averted. This includes aspects such as the level of ammonia in the water and the BOD of the sample.
