Whitemarsh Case Study

Introduction
In February of 2019, Whitemarsh Township, located in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, contacted Chemtech International regarding FOG challenges they were experiencing with their collections system.
Problem
- Excessive grease in multiple pump stations
- H2S odors noticeable at pump stations
- Corrosion and deterioration of concrete in one pump station
Solution
After a site visit and evaluation, Chemtech International proposed using Microbe Lift IND, a unique biological liquid, consisting of a consortium of microbes that are selectively designed to speed the biological degradation of problematic compounds in wastewater systems. (Grease, oils, Ammonia and H2S)
Results
After 30 days of treatment, operators noticed the following:
- Reduction of grease in pump stations. Grease cakes were eliminated, only a few small globules of grease were noticeable.
- H2S odors were drastically reduced and not noticeable.
- Force Main grease buildup was broken down and cleaned out of line.
